    1. As noted at the beginning of the post, this list was determined by aggregating 33 R&B-focused, best-of lists. The intent is to create an objective list which reflects those songs most commonly selected. If more listmakers had selected more Prince and Michael Jackson songs, then more Prince and Michael Jackson songs would be on this list.
