As with most of the lists presented by the DMDB, this is an aggregate compiling multiple other lists. In this case, 30 year-end lists (see resources at bottom of page) focused on both commercially successful and/or critically acclaimed lists have been averaged together to see what comes out as the cream of the crop from this past year.
