Singer born Kenneth Donald Rogers on 8/21/1938 in Houston, Texas. One of the biggest country artists of all time, but also successful on the pop charts. Recorded with The Scholars (58), the Bobby Doyle Three (60-65), New Christy Minstrels (66-67), and The First Edition (67-76). Solo artist since 1976, although frequently recorded hit duos with numerous female singers including Dolly Parton, Dottie West, Kim Carnes, and Sheena Easton. In 2015, he announced his intent to retire.
