Queen was a glam-rock/classic rock group that formed in England in 1972 with Freddie Mercury on vocals, Brian May on guitar, John Deacon on bass, and Roger Taylor on drums. They kept their lineup intact until 1992 when Mercury died from AIDS. The group continued to tour and record with other singers, including Paul Rodgers (best known for his work with Bad Company) and American Idol contestant Adam Lambert.
