About the Album:

Eric Bazilian is known predominantly as one of the founding members of the rock band Hooters and the songwriter between Joan Osborne’s top-5 1995 hit “One of Us.” The Hooters released five studio albums from 1980 to 1993 before going on hiatus. During that time away from the Hooters, Bazilian wrote a lot of songs for other artists, such as “One of Us,” but also recorded a pair of solo albums in the early 2000s.

The Hooters reunited for Time Stand Still in 2007 and the EP Five by Five in 2010. When they went on hiatus yet again, Bazilian collaborated with Mats Wester, a multi-instrumentalist from Sweden. Wester formed the folk-rock duo Nordram in 1993 and they released six studio albums through 2010. Bazilian said Nordram has the biggest-selling Swedish language of all time. SS Bazilian called Wester “a great muse and a great friend.” SS

Bazilian and Wester released a single, Bigger Than the Bossa Nova, in 2011. More than a year later, they released the single Good Thing, which preceded the release of the full-fledged album What Shall Become of the Baby by three months. Bazilian said it was the last song they wrote for the album. SS

They finally released a third single, Somebody Else, from the album a full year-and-a-half later. Also of note on the album is a version of Until You Dare, which the Hooters recorded first on the Time Stand Still album. Bazilian says he likes the newer version better. SS
